GOpay Security Data Security...
The issue of data security is very important to us and we have implemented a
combination of high-level security measures to protect your data. All data
transmitted through GOpay is encrypted using 128-bit SSL technology. In addition sensitive
stored data is encrypted with complex encryption techniques which exceed
the usual accepted standards.
This means your transaction details are always processed securely when being
sent over the Internet. You will see the padlock security icon or HTTPS appear in your
browser window on all secure pages within GOpay.
Our payment gateway provider Camtech, is the leading Australian gateway to the
national banking network, offering tremendous reliability and maximum security.
All confidential information is encrypted using a combination of secret keyed
and public keyed cryptography in such a way that only the e-commerce Payment
Gateway is able to read the message. Non SSL encryption is 1024 bit RSA with 56
bit DES session keys. A different session key is used for each transaction.
Additionally all data is housed on our industrial strength servers, located in a
secure environment and protected by the use of hardware firewalls. See additional
information on server housing below.
Server Housing - Physical Environment and
Security
The Data Centre where the dedicated server requirements are housed
features a tiled, raised steel and concrete access floor. This allows management
of the mass of wires and ensures there are no accidental disruptions caused by
cable "bumping". It also provides electrical grounding which helps to maintain a
static free environment as well as assisting air flow to the servers
Liebert Atlas environment control systems ensure the Data Centre is kept at a
constant 18 degrees Celsius. These systems regulate both room temperature and
humidity to ensure a cool, static free environment. Without air-conditioning the
temperature in the Data Centre would rise 1 degree every 3 minutes. For that
reason there are redundant (spare capacity) climate control systems.
Servers and routers in the Data Centre are protected by Liebert uninterruptible
power supplies. This ensures that the servers remain operational during short
power outages, brown-outs and power spikes.
In the event of power loss from the main grid, after 5 seconds the Data Centre's
diesel generator automatically starts up and powers the entire Data Centre.
The generator provides 170Kva and can operate for 24 hours without refuelling.
The unit can be refuelled while running.
When the power is restored the generator continues to operate until mains power
has stabilised.
The Data Centre is staffed 24 hours a day. Access is restricted via secure,
electronic swipe cards. Early warning systems are in place to monitor fire,
intrusion, vandalism and theft.
